In February 2017, the DFE announced the launch of the Teaching and Leadership Innovation Fund (TLIF). We are pleased to announce that EdisonLearning and NAHT have been successful in our bid for funding from the programme.
Our successful bid reinforces the theme of taking ownership of professional standards. It also supports our belief that the profession holds the answers and has the resources, trust, collaboration and inspiration to deliver the innovation that we need.
The funding we receive will enable us to provide a one-year, free of charge programme for teacher and leadership development, based upon the successful NAHT Aspire school improvement model. Our NAHT TLIF programme will be delivered through networks of four schools; up to 24 networks will be created between now and 2019.
For schools to be eligible for the TLIF funding, they need to be located in one of the government opportunity areas (GOAs) or in Group 6 on both Social Mobility and Achieving Excellence Areas analysis. They must also have a current Ofsted judgement of requires improvement or inadequate.
